Hi Everyone
Just two Premier League Matchdays left before the World Cup winter break.
This weekend it’s Matchday 15 which starts with four matches kicking off at 3pm on a Saturday.
I’m going for Leeds to follow up their win over Liverpool last weekend with another 2-1 win albeit this time at home against Bournemouth.
I also fancy Manchester City to pick up another three points with a comprehensive win over high-flying Fulham and I’m going for 4-0 in this one.
Nottingham Forest take on Brentford at the City ground and whilst Brentford secured a good point against Wolves last time out, Nottingham Forest were soundly beaten 5-0 by table-topping Arsenal. I certainly can’t see that many goals being scored in this one and I’m going for a low-scoring 1-1 draw here.
The remaining 3 o’clock kick off on Saturday sees Wolves taking on Brighton at Molineux. Wolves have endured a difficult start to the season and with Brighton coming to town on the back of a 4-1 thrashing of Chelsea last weekend, I’m going for another three points to the Seagulls albeit with a low-scoring 1-0 win.
The teatime kick off on Saturday sees Everton entertain Leicester City at Goodison Park. Neither team can claim to be in the best of form but with the World Cup break looming, both sides will be desperate for the three points. With so much at stake, even this early in the season, I’m expecting a full-blooded affair and with a fervent crowd behind them, I’m going for Frank Lampard’s men to eke out a 2-1 win.
Sunday starts with arguably the biggest game of Matchday 15 and I’m going for something of a surprise here. I know Arsenal are absolutely flying this season and the easy prediction would be another three points for the Gunners. However, I just fancy that Chelsea, in front of their own fans, will be desperate to put their 4-1 humiliation at the hands of Brighton last weekend behind them and I’m going for the Blues to edge this one with a 2-1 win.
In the two o’clock kick offs I’m going with Aston Villa versus Manchester United and West Ham United versus Crystal Palace to both end in 1-1 draws. I’m also going with Newcastle United to extend their unbeaten run in the Premier League to nine games with a 2-0 win away at Southampton.
The final game of Matchday 15 is the 4.30 kick off between Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool. I’m really looking forward to this one as I can see it being an all-action, high scoring affair with almost any score having to be considered. In the end, I’m going with Liverpool to upset the form book with a 3-2 away win.
As always, some of these matches are too close to call and on those occasions, sometimes your best bet is not to bet at all.
