Not many would have thought that looking at the Premier League table in the build up to Matchday 21 would see Fulham, Brighton and Brentford sitting above Liverpool and Chelsea but fair play to them as they’re having a great season and their league positions are thoroughly deserved. 

As it happens Liverpool face Chelsea at Anfield this weekend in what would normally be termed a top of the table clash. On this occasion it’s very much a mid-table clash and although difficult to predict, I’m going for the Anfield crowd to urge their team on to a narrow 1-0 win.

Given Manchester United’s win over Manchester City last weekend, the clash between Arsenal and Manchester United at the Emirates most certainly can be described as a top of the table clash. United are on a great run of form and confidence is clearly running high. However, an away trip to the Emirates against an Arsenal side that really do look the real deal this season will be a huge test of their title credentials. As it happens, I think United will come up just short in this one and I’m going for a 2-1 win to the Gunners.

In other matches I fancy Brighton, Aston Villa and Newcastle United to all win away from home. I’m also going with West Ham to pile more misery on Frank Lampard with a home win against Everton and Manchester City to comfortably beat Wolves at the Etihad. That leaves three matches which I see all ending in draws.

There are quite a few matches this weekend that are very close to call and when you feel like that about any fixture, sometimes your best bet is not to bet at all.
