Premier League

Hi Everyone

Premier League Matchday 11 sees a full set of fixtures including several mouth-watering clashes.

On Friday night I can see Brighton securing another three points with a 2-1 away win at Brentford.

In the early kick off on Saturday, Leicester City take on Crystal Palace at the King Power stadium. Leicester are currently rooted to the bottom of the table and will be desperate to give their fans something to shout about. Unfortunately for them I fancy another frustrating afternoon for Brendan Rodgers and his men and I’m going for a 1-1 draw in this one.

In the three o’clock kick-offs on Saturday I’m going with Fulham to beat Bournemouth 2-1 and Wolves to beat Nottingham Forest 1-0.

The big game of the day on Saturday sees Spurs entertain Everton at the Tottenham Hotspur stadium. This is a tough one to call as Everton are beginning to look as though last season’s struggles could well be behind them. That said, Spurs are sitting pretty in third place in the table and with a vociferous crowd behind them, I’m going for a narrow 1-0 win to Conte’s men in this one.

On Sunday I can see Chelsea securing a comfortable 2-0 win away at Aston Villa and Arsenal staying top of the table with a straightforward 3-0 win against Leeds at Elland Road. Also on Sunday, we have Manchester United hosting Newcastle United at Old Trafford. I’m really looking forward to this one as I think it will be end to end and really could end up with any kind of score. If the red devils can keep things tight at the back, I fancy them to eke out a 2-1 win but I certainly wouldn’t be surprised to see the Geordies heading back to the North East and taking all three points with them.

In the last of the 2 o’clock kick-offs I can see West Ham winning a tight encounter against Southampton. I’m going for a narrow 1-0 win to the Hammers at St Mary’s.

The last game of Matchday 11 is without doubt the big one of the weekend when the two heavyweights of recent seasons go head to head at Anfield.

Manchester City have started this season as they left off the last, and with the addition of Erling Haaland, even at this early stage, they look to be near certainties to win their fifth title in six seasons.

Liverpool, by their own high standards, have made an awful start to the campaign and already look as though a top four finish is about the best they can hope for. They will have been boosted by their 7-1 demolition of Rangers in the Champions League in mid-week but even so, it’s hard to see them beating City at this stage. I’m going for an entertaining game ending with a 3-1 win to the Citizens.
