Hi Everyone
Premier League Matchday 10 sees a full set of fixtures and starts with five games at three o’clock.
Bournemouth host Leicester City at the Vitality Stadium and I fancy the Foxes to build on their confidence-boosting win over Nottingham Forest last week with a 2-1 away win.
Chelsea host Wolves at Stamford Bridge and I can’t see anything other than a comfortable
2-0 win to the Blues.
Also at three o’clock we have Manchester City hosting Southampton at the Etihad. Southampton have endured a difficult start to the season and with Manchester City absolutely flyting at the minute I can see another goal fest with that man Haaland at the fore. I’m going for a 5-1 rout to the Citizens.
The final match at three o’clock sees Brentford take on Newcastle at St James’ Park. There’s only a point between them in the table but with the Geordie faithful urging them on, I fancy United to secure all three points with a 3-1 home win.
In the teatime kick off I’m going for a low scoring draw between fourth placed Brighton and third placed Tottenham. 1-1 at the Amex for me.
On Sunday at two o’clock, I’m going for Crystal Palace to eke out a 1-0 win at home to Leeds United and West Ham to beat Fulham 1-0 at the London Stadium.
At 4.30pm on Sunday we have a huge match when Arsenal entertain Liverpool at the Emirates. Arsenal are currently sitting at the top of the table with confidence surely sky-high after their 3-1 win over Tottenham last weekend. Liverpool on the other hand are still struggling for any kind of consistency and unfortunately for the Reds, I think this might be another difficult game and another setback in their quest to win the Premier League title. I’m going for a 2-1 win to the Gunners in this one.
The late game on Sunday sees Everton take on Manchester United at Goodison Park. Everton, having just escaped relegation last season, have made a decent start to this campaign and despite a number of frustrating draws, they seem to be gaining in confidence with Frank Lampard beginning to get a tune out of his players. Manchester United are still very much a work in progress and I fancy the blue side of Merseyside to be all smiles at the end of this one with a 1-0 home win.
Monday night sees the last fixture of Matchday 10, when Nottingham Forest host Aston Villa and neither side will be happy with the starts they’ve made to the season. However, Villa seem to be showing signs of turning a corner and if their strikers can find their scoring boots I think that may just be the difference when the two sides meet in this one. I’m going for the game to be a tense, nervy affair with the Villans just coming out on top with a 2-1 away win.
