Hello to everyone at in2bet!
I am genuinely delighted to have been asked to be a brand ambassador for in2bet as I believe they are going to set the new standard for betting brands with their innovative thinking and some of their plans for promoting safer gambling.
Now on to the football. It’s the start of a brand new Premier League season and I love the fact that at this stage, every fan is excited and hopeful that their team is going to have a great season.
From my point of view, I can’t see past the usual suspects competing again at the top of the table. I watched the Community Shield at the weekend and both Liverpool and Manchester City look as though they’re going to pick up exactly where they left off last season.
Of course, with teams having so many players coming and going as well as managerial changes and their new ideas and formations, it’s always difficult to know who will start best so I’m going to keep my powder dry at this stage and not go for anything too risky.
The first game of season 2022/23 takes place on Friday night when Arsenal travel to Crystal Palace. This is an intriguing game as both teams have brought in new players and both managers will be satisfied with their pre-season preparations. I’m going for a 1-1 draw here.
In the early kick-off on Saturday I fancy Liverpool to pick up all three points against newly promoted Fulham at Craven Cottage with a 3-1 win. I also fancy Aston Villa to get a 2-1 away win at Bournemouth. Newcastle United entertain another newly promoted side in Nottingham Forest and I fancy Eddie Howe’s men to get off to a flyer with a 1-0 win. Tottenham are another side who have done a lot of business in the summer and I can see them getting all three points at home to Southampton. 2-0 in this one for me. Leeds and Wolves is a difficult one to call so I’m going for a ‘sit on the fence’ 1-1 and in the final match on Saturday, I fancy another low-scoring 1-1 draw between Everton and Chelsea at Goodison Park.
On Sunday I can see Leicester City getting their season off to a good start with a 2-1 home win against Brentford City. I’m looking forward to seeing how things unfold at Manchester United but however things go this season, I fancy them to start with a 2-0 against Brighton at Old Trafford.
The final game of Matchday One sees West Ham entertain last season’s Premier League winners Manchester City. West Ham will have high hopes for this season but I can’t see them picking up any points in this tricky first fixture of the season. 3-1 to Manchester City in this one for me.
